Trivision/Division is an interactive photography installation that connects Berlin’s past and present through optical illusions on triangle prisms and anamorphosis photographs. The history of Berlin has been preserved by printing archival photographs throughout the city. By matching old images with current locations in Berlin, anamorphic art brings history to life through the magic of Trompe L’Oeil.
In Trivision, the viewer is no longer stagnant and trespasses the bi-dimensional plane by moving around each frame, thereby discovering different images in time, perceived from the right perspectival angle in specific points of view. By drawing the eye towards images from the past to the present, one may hope to find the relation between time and space in a deceptional analogue anamorphic image.
